Thanks to the readers of this blog. The problem with this concept was that I was bringing you the sites that link you to free items. And the problem with that is that there are a very limited amount of quality sites out there. I didn't find them all but I found all the ones I could. It's painstaking to find five or six quality sites and then research and write about them. So, I'll be updating all the links in one big long write up. No write-ups just the links. I'll make sure they all work and still go where they are supposed to. That way the blog will always be able to give you a way to get to those sites without a million bookmarks.

And I can either start a new blog where I will actually link you to the free samples themselves or I can just overhaul this one. I don't have enough readers to help me decide so I'll just think about it and decide by the end of the month. At that time, I will either do up a big post and then retire this blog with full honors or I will do the write up and begin the new phase of the blog. If I do get people passing by who have an opinion, feel free to let me know!.

Free Samples -- January Week 4

Well I goofed guys. Since this was originally a monthly blog I completely forgot it was now weekly and missed a whole week. Luckily it's a leap year so that makes up for it. (Some how). So this month I have lots of exciting new sites for you to visit. Thanks to a new site called Entrecard I've been able to find not only great sites, but awesome blogs filled with freebies. By now you may have noticed "Todays Featured Blog" over in the right hand corner. Well that's one of the many users who use this blog promoting service. So if you love me (and who doesn't haha) then check out the blog that's featured today. While I'm not picky on who advertises on this blog, I will make sure that each site that does is rated PG-13 and under. So don't be afraid to click over with kids in the room.

Free iTunes Store Downloads

This is a great blog for those of us who have Ipods or simply like free music. If you have iTunes you probably know that they give out several free items a week, from songs, to audiobooks, to shows. Finding all the free stuff can be a pain, so luckily we have this site to tell us what's free and when. It's convenient, it's reliable, and it's accurate. So head over to this site to catch up on all the freebies that iTunes has to offer. 8/10

Stuff To Get

Okay, this was a site that I debated with myself whether or not it should be included. It's has some pros and a lot of cons. But in the end I just couldn't say no. It's a brand new blog only a few months old. But it's definitely shaping out to be something special. While this is NOT a true freebie site, it's first couple of posts included: free game sites and freeware software. Since this blog promises to deliver more of this type of eclectic posting with some interesting sites, I'd call this a site to watch closely. Rating reserved for future posts.

TV Heaven

A good sized blog site that lists shows available for watching and downloading off the internet. While not the biggest of sites, it still has some good links and a nice collection to keep you occupied for hours and hours. 7/10

OV Guide

This site is the ultimate in watching movies and tv shows online. To describe all it has to offer would take pages. This is the must see site of this week. This site lists everything from free movies to free shows to free anything you can think of. To not see this site will mean your life is not complete. This may sound like overkill in praise but I have this one bookmarked and so should you. 10/10

Great Books

Great Books is a wonderful site for lovers of classic literature. It features a chapter a day in the form of podcast. Download it to bring on the road or just sit back and listen to some of histories greatest books. This is all completely free and really easy to use. 9/10

EGames

A great site for the gamer in all of use. This large selection of free games will keep you shooting, punching, and racing for hours on end. For those that need to kill some free time or want to just sit back and have some fun, this site is for you. 9/10

Moneysponser

Moneysponser is a fairly intensive site with a good amount of freebies. While this site does offer some "free" samples, this is by no means the norm. The plus for this site is the in depth ad you get when clicking for a freebie. It tells you all about the product you're going for, which is a great idea considering it might not be something you want or need after checking it out. 7/10

Freebie Fanatics

Another blog full of great freebies. While only a blog, it has many of the features and in fact surpasses some full websites. Proving that you don't need your own domain name to run a fabulous webpage. It's informative, it's thorough, and it's easy to navigate. A great site and absolute must see for any true freebie hunter. 10/10

Mr. Freeloader

Mr. Freeloder is a website to check out but with lots of caution. This is another site that makes no distinction between free and free* so be careful what you click on. One link brought me to some website that wanted to download a toolbar. If you have the patience to wade through the free* offers then check out this site. It does have some quality freebies. It's an even split between legitimate freebies and avoid at all cost "freebies". 5/5

ThunderFap

When a freebie site lists as one of it's facts "we don't post offers that aren't 100% free" you know it's a keeper. This is an easy to use site that offers some interesting freebies as well as the more standard ones. The only issue you might have with this site is that there are a number of broken or expired links. But none leading to a freebie hunters foe, the fill out a survey for a gift, site. Thunderflap is going on my daily check list and I suggest it goes on yours. It has an optional weekly newsletter. Update on that next time. 9/10

All 4 Free Freebie Tree

A large site that sincerely wants to bring you free samples. Right on the front page you are encouraged to contact the webmaster with broken or expired links so non of those here. This a general freebie site with it's share of bad freebies but the majority are great. It does link to trial offers but explains why they are listed and what your freebie will be. It will take some time to go though each category and link on this site but it's worth it to find the freebie gold. 8/10

1 Stop Free Shop

While this isn't a traditional freebie site it deserves a mention. It's best freebies are the craft, needlework, and woodcraft pattern links. It does have some nice home and family freebies available for you to check out as well. So check this one out for family friendly and creative freebies. 6/10

A Huge Deal

This is not a freebie site. But this site is full of coupon codes. The majority of this site seems like a giant advertisement but in reality it's a site simliar to mine. I take you to freebie sites and they take you to sales. How long the sale is on for, what the sale is about, and if possible the coupon code to get you some interesting offers. For the general freebie hunter this isn't the site for you. For those that actually WANT to buy items at sale prices then then it is. The best part that everyone is encouraged to check out is the store reviews. Whether your buying over the internet or just walking in, who couldn't use a review of the store. 7/10

Dream Freebies

A small site with only a few freebies. But the ones that are here are worth checking out. This site will only take a few minutes to check out and you really should. The site itself is pleasant to look and it and easy to get through. A nice little site with a few quality freebies. 6/10

Baby University

Family friendly and baby freebies are the specialty of this site. While they are limited on what they offer for samples, the samples are a lifesaver for new parents. The freebie links are easy to find and they are truly free. A true must see for parents new and old. 9/10

Happy New Year! I hope it was good one for everyone out there. Hope Christmas brought lots of good cheer and the new year brought a new resolution that we can all stick to (crosses fingers). I have lots of new freebies to bring to you. Some new stuff to brighten the year. So let's all say a final goodbye to 2007 and bring on the freebies for 2008! Best 101 Free Computer Software For Your Daily Use

That's a very long name for a very simple blog. And who can argue with free software. This blog links to some fantastic software (freeware/shareware) to make your computing life easier. It would be impossible to explain all the stuff you can get from checking out this blog. So, you're just going to have to check it out yourself. It's nicely laid out into categories so finding what you need will be a snap. This blog takes the programs we need and want everyday and lays them out for it. As a bonus, check out the comments for some picks that are not listed. As with all software be careful when downloading. Always run a virus scan after downloading anything. 10/10

101 Best Web Freebies - Freebie Site of the Month

The reason this hits as freebie site of the month is because of the shear number and quality of the freebies it links to. If you need a slighty easier life then you must check this site. 101 Best Web Freebies is brought to you by BusinessWeek and it shows in the quality of writing. But don't let the name scare you, it's not just for businesses. It links to freebies that can used by the regular person. It includes everything from photo-editing to comic books to learning how to draw, this site is a winner. 10/10

25 Free Mmorpgs

Continuing the theme so far, I bring you another blog. This one for the gamers. 25 Free Mmorpgs is a blog that lists the games we can download or play in our browser for FREE. Free in MMO's means free to play and download but extra stuff costs you money. But the gaming experience isn't in any way less fun by being a "freebie." So if you're a gamer, this is a must see site. The writer even goes so far as to give you all the information in neat little paragraphs similar to what you see here. 7/10

Free audio and video stream broadcasting software

This page is small and has only four offerings but for those of you that want a podcast or a web show and can't afford the staggering prices for broadcasting software then this site is for you. It lists the workable free software you can use to get that podcast off the ground. While I have not downloaded all this software, McAfee SiteAdvisor gives this page a green. With no spam, viruses, or trojans emanating from the 124 downloads they took from this site. Once again I stress running a virus check after each download but this gets a clean from the experts. So check it out. 6/10

Play Free Games Online

Here's another great one for the gamers. This site lists free to play multi-player games. The requirements to become listed in the directory are intensive so you know only quality games will make it. The only catch in this site is that while it lists many free to play games, it also lists free to play for a TRAIL period games. Leaving you with the decision whether you want to continue playing or not. Since the majority are free to play indefinitely this is a terrific site for us gamers to find something new to spice up our Fridays nights ;) 8/10

Best Online Documentries

Are you the documentary type of person? Then prepare to fall in love with this site. Over 650 quality documentaries to watch completely free. Sit back, grab some popcorn, and get ready for some great viewing. 9/10

Welcome to the December edition of Free Sample Quest. "Jingle all the way!" Well, it may be a bit early for that but there are some great Christmas themed freebies coming up this month. Some are time sensitive so lets get to them right away. Since this is a special month, I'm linking right to some great freebies and special free things for families to enjoy. Plus a few cools facts about Christmas and Hanukkah. So, let's get to it!

ChatwithSantadot.com is a spectacular treat for any child. It's free to register and free to chat with Santa on his specially made North Pole web cast. This wonderfull experience is starting on December 10th and running for 3 days. Registering gets you all the information, such as the time to link up with Santa. So you have to register very soon. You'll receive a toll free number that links to Jolly Old St. Nick himself and your child gets to chat with Santa, live on his web cast. The page to register still says December of 2006 but all you have to do is check the schedule up at the top. A absolute must see!

Santa Claus Letters Online

You remember writing Santa those long letters full of present ideas? Remember how sometimes he wrote back? Well now it's time for your children to get there own personalized letter or email from Santa. This website helps you put together a wonderful printable letter from Santa. Free Samples -- November

Welcome to the November edition of Free Sample Quest. It's taken me awhile to gather more reputable sites but I've done it. Plus I have a few more tips to make your freebie hunting experience worthwhile and fun. So make sure you bookmark my blog because December's is right around the corner. And don't forget to come back December 1st for some Christmas themed freebies. A few notes this month. Some sites will bring you only true freebies and some will bring you to anything that has the word free in it's name. When going for freebies please be careful. Freebies will NEVER require a credit card with very few exceptions.

When actually going for a freebie from a site never tell them that you were linked there from a freebie site. Many great freebies have been taken down because the company offering the product didn't intend them for freebie hunters. And last note this month. If there is a freebie from what looks like it will be coming from an individual or a non-profit organization and you do NOT need or want the item then do not order it. People and non-profits go through a lot of trouble to make something nice for people that really need or benefit from something. So think before you order. Now on to the freebies!

Twisted Branches

Twisted Branches is a wonderful site full of great freebies. Not to mention it's a great site to look at. It's neatly laid out into easy to check out categories. The best part about this site is the very first paragraph which states

"Welcome to Twisted Branches - Home of the Real Freebies where everything listed on our site is always 100% Free and there's never a hassle to sign up for anything! You won't have to complete another offer to receive your free stuff, and you won't find any of those "yes-yes," "no-no," type questionnaires here either. Those aren't real freebies and we just don't put them on our site!"

Any site that tells you right away that they don't deal in free* offers plus gives you an email to contact in case that happens is a reputable site. The big plus on this site is the forum. Which has great members and lots of great stuff. This site also features a monthly drawing, a chatroom, and recipes. There is a optional newsletter to sign up for. I haven't signed up so I don't know if it's spammy. This is a must see site! 8/10

Zenas Freebies

Zenas Freebies is a site that has a lot of listed freebies but the site itself can be a bit confusing to check out. There are a lot of links to various things but the main thing to check out are the day links. Each freebie is listed under the day it came out. While checking out the freebies I came across true freebies and free* offers. And one that linked to some kind of offsite freebie newsletter. Check this site out but with caution. If you click a link it says anything about completing offers then click the x. This site does have a disclaimer at the bottom stating: All of the Free Stuff listed is free to the best of my knowledge. So links to bad freebies is almost surely unintentional. This is also a good site for international freebie seekers as it links to Canada and UK freebies. There is a newsletter but once again I have not signed up yet so I can't tell you if it's spammy. 6/10

FreebieCat

FreebieCat is really well put together site. It's easy to use. This site links not only to the basic freebies but also deals for different items such as book club deals or picture prints deals. This is a solid site and a must see. Check everyday for new freebies. There is an optional newsletter. It delivers about 2-4 newsletters a month. Don't forget to check out the adorable cat of the day! 7/10

Freaky Freddies

Welcome to Freaky Freddies Funhouse of Free Stuff and Freebies. Freaky Freddies is a huge site with 72 categories. But this site a huge ?. Right on the front page are many links to free* offers. This is a site that seems to make no distinction between free and free*. It's probably split right down the middle between good quality freebies and crap. But this is by no means a crap site to write off. It has it's redeeming qualities. The person who runs the site seems to honestly want to give you only the best freebies and the site itself is a pleasure to see. The newsletter is somewhat spammy but of course it is opt-in and it a fun newsletter. I wonder if the guy who runs it is a barber? 5/10

Free Stuff Time

Free Stuff Times is another really nice put together site with easy to navigate categories. The huge plus on this site is that after each sample are comments left by users. This is a must check everyday site. As one of the authors wrote after a freebie: "Not much more to say about this". It's an awesome site and links only to great freebies. It has the option to register for the site but you don't have to be registered to leave comments. 10/10

TeenFreeway

TeenFreeway is a great site for teens. A lot of these freebies are intended just for the younger set and ask for a date of birth when ordering but some can be used by people of all ages. The language used on the site is proof that's geared for teens. Good site and must check out. It does offer a newsletter and it's in no way spammy. 8/10

FreeStuffHotDeals

The main point of this site is the forums. And they do not disappoint. The forums are divided into countries so this is a great site for international freebie seekers. This site offers the basics in the freebie universe but they are all posted by users of the forum. So no free* offers here. The owner even goes so far as telling people not to post those on the site. This is a reputable forum that gets a huge thumbs up for monitoring the posts. You don't have to register to check out the freebies but it is recommended. 9/10

FansFreebies

This is another forum. The plus of course is that there no fake freebies here. They are all posted by users. The only drawback to this is that you will find a bunch of expired freebies but they are usually spotted pretty quickly by other users. This is a basic user forum where you don't have to register to check it out but it is recommended. The great thing about forums that you can sometimes strike gold and find the best freebies that the actual sites don't have listed. 9/10

Hey, It's Free

Hey It's Free is a blog run by a few people. But it doesn't make it any less great. It links right to the freebie itself versus my blog which links you to the site and is run only by me =) What makes this site awesome is the freebies are listed with commentary from the writer. So you know the freebies are going to be genuine. It looks great and is well organized. This is another must check everyday. There is an optional newsletter sign up but I haven't gotten a chance to sign up so I can't tell you if it's spammy.10/10

Animal Rescue Site

Okay this is not technically a freebie for you. But it for a rescued animal. Click this link everyday and the sponsers will donate food to rescued animals. You don't have to do anything, just click the link and you've donated. This is a great way for those of us who really can't donate money to make a difference. A must click every day.

FreeRice

Like the link above this is a great site. It's a way to donate food to needy families and get a little smarter. For every word you get right the site donates 10 grains of rice to hungry people. It may not seem like a lot but I was able to donate 2000 grains of rice in about 30 minutes. It's fun, free, and life affirming. A must check everyday. 10/10

My Quest for Free Samples

Recently I found many sites that offer free samples. Some offer specific samples and some offer free software. This is my quest to get free samples.

Anything I post is free with no strings attached. People will be amazed at what you can get for free. At what companies will offer to draw you in and buy their product. Try before you buy is a personal motto of mine. And most companies will let you try before you make that decision.

I am not responsible for any of these sites. I am merely providing links to sites that I personally use. All these sites are self explanatory but you should always read all information given. When signing up for anything please read all the small print. Most if not all of these sites have links to other free sites on them. I have not evaluated these sites. Once again, the sites I put here are sites that I have looked over and recommend.

Remember, never pay for a free* sample. If you're paying for shipping and handling then it's not free. And if you have to sign up for free* offers to get your sample then click the x and move on.

If you have other sites you'd like to recommend then let me know. Plus I'll be adding to this every so often to bring you only quality freebie sites.

To become a true freebie seeker there are a few things that you will need. Many sites that offer you a free sample require you to sign up for a newsletter. You have many options. You can simply wait for them to come and spam them. You can wait and unsubscribe. But most companies will sell your email. So neither of these is really a good option.

Must Haves For Freebie Seekers

1. A "spam" email. This is an email you use when you need to sign up to receive a sample. Simply set up a free email (I suggest gmail because it has no limit) and you're ready to go. This is the address that will be spammed like nuts but since you won't use this email for anything other then spam you don't really need to check it very often. Either once a month to keep it active and delete the spam or right after you sign up as some samples require you to confirm your email.

2. An autofill. Any freebie seeker can tell you how annoying it is to fill out form after form. Depending on the browser you're using, you should have some sort of autofill. And they're definitely useful but to be ready to fill out form after form, you need the ultimate autofill. Roboform not only lets you fill out all forms with one click but will also save all your logins. The best part is that it's completely free to use. The free version saves 10 logins whereas the pro version saves them all.

MySavings

MySavings offers the best overview of free samples out there. It's neatly organized into easy to navigate categories. This site does not require you to sign up. But to be able to rate the samples on the the site itself, registration is required. I have been a member for several months and have received absolutely no spam from this site. A plus for this site is the forum. The forum has freebies that are not listed on the main site. Plus it has the feedback of the users. Such as, which samples never come and which ones are not what was promised. 10/10

YesAll4Free

YesAll4Free is another site that offers an easy to use site. The samples here are diverse but don't update all that often. The best part about this site is The Free Vault. A newly updated daily list of freebies. The samples featured on this page are there for only one day then are replaced. For new freebies, check this page daily. This site requires no sign up. 7/10

JustFreeStuff

This one is interesting. It has the basic categories but also some unique ones. Such as browsers, guestbooks, and screensavers. This one has alot to go through so take some time to check out. This is one of the few sites out there that actually give you an email if you have questions. This one is pretty solid. This one requires no registration but there is an option to receive the newsletter in email format. I have not yet signed up for the email so I can't evaluate if it's spammy. 8/10

Shop4Freebies

This is another interesting site. This one brings you more unique freebies and samples. Ones that you won't find on other sites. Such as a link to dateamillionaire.com. I'd say your chance of actually finding a millionaire to date is pretty slim but hey, it's fun to dream. This one also has page that is updated everyday. While some of the samples on this site are great and interesting, this site will also bring you to free* samples. So don't get to excited. Just check out each offer thoroughly and you should be fine. 6/10

FileHippo

This is the ultimate in free software. Filehippo can get just about everything for free. Accidentally deleted Quicktime and you suddenly need Itunes and a Microsoft Tweak? Then you can find it all right here. This is one of the ultimate sites for those of us who either want to try something out before you buy it or you just don't want to pay for it. This software is clean and stable. A must see. 10/10

Fatboymedia

This is the site to go if you want to watch free movies (some of which are still in theaters), free shows, cartoons, and everything in between. This site is a list of all the free movie and tv watching sites with ratings of each one. The first one listed is one of my favorites. Another must see. 10/10

TrulyFree

Love to read? The this site is definitely for you. The Burgomeister's Books are ebooks that a truly giving person is lending to us for free. The list is huge and it's easy to use. Just download and unzip the file. This site is free and no registration is required. While it is free this site is being run by one person. There is a paypal banner at the bottom for donations. This is a site that I would to donate to. 10/10

FreeGeekery

This is a site entitled 22 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Get for Free. This one is great. It lists real life items you can get for free. Certain times of the year you can get free ice cream and coffee. You can get free photos and even free classes at MIT! Check it out for some great ideas. 9/10

FreeGiveAwayoftheDay

This is possibly the coolest website I've visited in a while. Need some high priced software? Well, wait a few weeks and it might end up here. Everyday you can download a piece of software for free for exactly 24 hours. This is not trial software. This is the full product. It's also not some weird software you'll never use and never heard of. A company will put it's software up for free for one day, you can can download it and use it free and clear. Of course you don't get the updates or the technical support but the software is free. Plus the sister site, Game Giveaway of the Day offers a free game everyday. This is a must check daily. 10/10

Walmart

Walmart occasional offers great free samples. It rarely updates though. The pluses on Walmart samples are that they come very quickly and it's always a full sample. This is a good one to check maybe once a week. No registration required but you can sign up on the site. 5/10

RetailMeNot

This site is wonderful for people who make purchases on the internet. This site lists coupon codes that will get you free items and huge discounts on orders. It also includes the success rate of each coupon. For instance they have a coupon that will get you 10% off one item with an 85% success rate. It has a handy search feature. A must see. 9/10

The Freebie Source

This is a really nice put together site. It doesn't have a huge amount of freebies (about 200) but it seems to be growing. This is great site to spend about an hour checking out. No registration required but there is an option to sign up for the newsletter. 6/10

AbsurdlyCool

This site looks pretty new. It doesn't have alot of freebies but it is updated everyday and it does link to a few freebies that other sites don't. More traffic means a site grows and more freebies come along. So check out this site. No registration required. 6/10

Prospector

This one is pretty big. It deals more with freeware software. The categories are intensive. This one will take a while to look through but there is a handy search function to skip the browsing. Be careful as this one does link to free* items. The freeware is solid stuff but other then that, best to just avoid anything else here. No need to register. 6/10
